Britta Kamptner was born and grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. Since she was young, she was into fine art, music, dance, theatre, and film.
As a child, she loved fine arts and performing arts. She spent countless afternoons in theatre groups or ballet and art classes and she spent hours drawing in her room. Britta also enjoyed visiting museums and exhibitions because she was curious about all and everything an artist created.
When she finished high school, she worked as an assistant director at Schauspiel Frankfurt and then studied Applied Theatre Studies at Justus-Liebieg-University in Gießen. After her studies, she went on to follow her passion by studying Fine Arts at the renowned art school, Städelschule Frankfurt.
Britta lived in London for almost 3 years while working on a second Masters degree in Fine Arts (Art Theory/Curating) at Goldsmiths College, University of London. After completing her degree, she worked for an international art gallery, where she experienced the ever-buzzing atmosphere of the art market.
Since 2007, she has been working as an educational curator where she creates and executes guided tours and workshops for kids and teenagers at art institutions such as Städel Museum, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt or Altana Kulturstiftung Bad Homburg.
Britta’s classes are characterized by fun, spontaneity as well as pure dedication and passion for working with kids in the field of Fine and Performing Arts.
