Kim is originally from a small rural town in North Carolina on the eastern coast of the US.

Kim earned degrees in both Psychology and Religion from Meredith College in 2000.

Since Kim has always been passionate about working with children, she started working at a kindergarten and primary school after graduating. Over the years, she has taught high school math in a traditional classroom and has experience working with adults and children with ID/D. She even spent a few years homeschooling her own children.

She has a passion for introducing STEM to children in a way that is both accessible and stimulating to their imaginations. She is currently teaching Little Explorers, Engineering, and STEM Minis. She enjoys the challenge and creativity that comes with working in the STEM field.
